“HUNTERNET GROUP TRAINING COMPANY GAINS ACCREDITATION”
HunterNet Group Training Company (HNGTC) was notified
recently by the Department of Education and Training that it has been approved
as a Registered Group Training Organisation.
Registration is an accreditation process for Companies
operating as a Group Training Organisation.
In order to become registered, Group Training Companies must demonstrate
to an approved Auditor that it carries out its responsibilities in accordance
with the National Quality Framework established in 2002, and revised in early
2006.
As a Registered Group Training Organisation, HNGTC is now
able to:
- Join
the list of Registered Group Training Organisations on the Department of
Education and Training’s (DET) website
- Become
a member of Group Training NSW, an association that represents Group
Training Companies across the State.
In joining the State representative body, HNGTC has an affiliation
with Group Training Australia.
- Tender
for Joint Policy Funding, a program administered by both State and Federal
Government that is available to Registered Group Training Organisations
- Utilise
DET’s Group Training Registration Logo on it’s marketing material and letterhead
- Demonstrate
that it carries out it’s business in accordance
with the National Quality Framework.
“Obviously, there are funding opportunities and other
benefits that exist by participating in the Registration process. But the important issue for HNGTC is that the
business operates alongside the best practice principles set out in the quality
framework”, said Murray Christie, Manager HNGTC.
HNGTC currently employs 82 Apprentices and Trainees, and is
expected to increase this number to over 100 within the next 18 months.
